Episode 04: I'm Not Lucky, I'm Loved

Another episode of The Pieces Podcast is here to enjoy! On this podcast we hope to facilitate opportunities to convene and learn more about God through music lead devotionals. Let’s get excited to enjoy our love for music and Christ in one place.

On today’s podcast, we’ll get into what anchor scriptures are, our next dissected song, and step into the listening room!

Anchor Scripture: An anchor scripture is that one scripture that holds a lot of power. It's a reminder that no matter how we might drift off or lose ourselves in the process of LIFE, it’ll always help us recenter and remind us of the character and presence of God in our life.

Romans 8:18 ESV “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

Today’s featured song: Not Lucky, I’m Loved x Jonathan McReynolds

The lyrics say,

Maybe I succeed a little

I jumped up from the floor to the middle

You think I want the credit, I don't

'Cause the glory, ain't made for me, no

...

And I could thank, my lucky stars

But that's not where, my blessings are

No they come from, the Father's heart

Not the sky, not chance, but truth is

I'm not lucky, I'm loved x4

We’ll discuss the Luck vs. the Love of the Lord, what it means to abide in the Lord, and how God displayed the biggest act of the love for us in John 3:16. Tune into today’s episode for the full breakdown.
